Charity Fund

Established in 2013 in the spirit of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity, our Charity Fund supports those in need through charitable and evangelical activities. Funded mainly by the annual Knights’ Night Charity Dinner and donations, it has raised over CAD $100,000 to date.

After the pandemic years, the council plans more diverse fundraising activities so the fund can reach more people in need.

The fund supports eight areas:

1) scholarships for full-time Chinese Catholic secondary and post-secondary students in Ontario; 2) support for seminarians (theology, philosophy, religious studies); 3) formation of religious brothers, sisters, and deacons; 4) grants to Catholic missionary organizations; 5) theology course subsidies at Chinese Martyrs Parish; 6) parish youth activities; 7) the council’s evangelization, education, and community outreach; 8) emergency assistance for the vulnerable.
